Booked last-minute. Super spacious and nicely-decorated room with all the amenities we needed. The best-equipped kitchen we’d experienced on our month-long trip to Japan. We had both a tatami mat area with a low table as well as a standard dining table. We wanted to be close to Kappabashi Street, which was great. But, what was even more great was how quiet our room was. Also the streets around the hotel seemed more like a Tokyo from some time ago, an older Tokyo, and we really liked the vibe. The room was very clean and we loved all the outlets where we could charge our devices. The staff was very nice. We were only there for one night. In the morning we realized we had a view of the Tokyo Sky Tree from our window.

The room was great - big enough and had everything we needed. We managed to arrange all of our luggage (6 pieces!) and our clothes, including stuff for the baby in the room. Having a well equipped kitchen and a washer / dryer in the room is a major plus when traveling with a baby. The shower, bathtub and the toilet were top notch. I actually really liked the shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you check what extra things you can get at the front desk. We got a crib (BabyBjorn), highchair (excellent), steam iron, outlet adapter, baby soap. A detergent has been provided as well. I mention all these little things because they became more obvious when we later stayed at a different popular family hotel chain for the last leg of our trip. Also the staff was extremely helpful! Luggage forwarding was fully arranged by them and they made sure we didn’t have to pay extra at the receiving hotel. Also they helped us find a seamstress for suit adjustment which was quite tricky considering the deadline.

The location was great, right in the middle of the Kappabashi district AND with a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Walking distance to a lot of sightseeing places (although the Skytree is further than it looks) but that of course depends on how mobile one is. However, we walked to the hotel from Ueno station with suitcases and found that quite manageable. But then we did arrive after 6pm when it was cooling down. Tokyo was in the middle of a heatwave, so had we arrived around noon, we would probably have taken a taxi. It was great to have an appartment-style room with all that entails. We were very happy to use the washing mashine/dryer which worked extremely well. This not being a keycard place that controls electricity (access door code instead), one could do the laundry while not at the property. Being able to leave our luggage there after check-out was a life-saver.

Great location. Friendly staffs. We were able to store our luggages at the front desk since we arrived earlier than check in time. Our luggages were waiting for us when we came back from exploring the area. They even upgraded our stay to a larger space for 4 of us! Highly recommend this hotel!

Location was great--close to food, sights & shopping. Train was not too far of a walk (10-15 mins, depending on which line). The Superior Family Room w/ Tatami was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen & 1 tween) with room to breathe. We had 2 beds & 2 futons. There was also a fold-out bed at the table that we opted not to use. Laundry, fridge/freezer & other kitchen appliances were convenient to have in the room. There was a code to use for both the elevator & the room. We skipped the elevator & just took the stairs. Area was fairly quiet and safe. We did a lot of walking during the trip, so we were able to make it to both Tokyo Skytree and Akihabara/Ueno by foot. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back!

Coffee and amenities downstairs were great, but the location is just fantastic: right in the heart of Asakusa and amazingly quiet. Our room was quite large, enough to have a space to have dinner, watch TV, and spend quality time with a family of four. We could have cooked there as there was just enough utensils for this, but we really preferred enjoying the restaurants in the city (take out or dine in, and dining in was really made easy). We felt safe, two TVs, gigantic bathroom (to some extent it was almost too much, but no one complains about very large bathrooms and bath tubs), zero complaints. Easy to walk to Asakusa, its train stations, Iriya, etc. Really in the heart of Asakusa. 7-Elevens and Family Marts everywhere. Also, the staff was kind and really helpful.

We had a wonderful time in Tokyo, and this Koko Hotel was a great place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. We booked one of the larger suites: my wife and I slept in the bedroom with two twin beds, and my daughter slept on one of the tatami/futon floor beds. We were all very comfortable. The mattresses are a little firm, but that was perfect for us. The suite includes a fantastic shower/bathtub room. Great water pressure and temperature. The toilet is separate and has a built-in handwashing sink (though no soap for whatever reason; we got that at the local grocery). The bathroom includes a combo washer/dryer; the dryer usually requires an additional 2-3 hr cycle to actually get clothes dry, but we were thankful for it. There’s also a galley kitchen complete with refrigerator, freezer, stove, rice cooker, toaster oven, kettle, and microwave. We made good use of it and frequently picked up food from the grocery for our dinners. The HVAC is a bit confusing, but it is fully customizable. We were able to make the room plenty cold enough at night and warm on the couple days where it was frigid outside. Location-wise, it’s close enough to the main road in Asakusa (~3 blocks) to be convenient to lots of food and shopping options, including the Life grocery store / pharmacy, but far enough to be a much quieter space. We never had problems with city noise. The staff is very helpful. Not all of them speak English, but Google Translate is more than ample to break the conversation barrier.

This Koko Hotel (there is more than one in Tokyo) is excellent for Tourism. It is 5 mins from a subway exit so easy with bags. 2 stops up fromTokyo Main Station and about 45 minutes from Haneda Airport. It has about 14 floors. We were high up with a view of the city and the Sky Tree Tower. Sky Tree Tower is a 20 min walk. The Temple is about 8 minute walk. Food all around. The room was very clean - almost new feel. There was full kitchen and laundry facility in the room arangement. Surprised and could not have been happier. It was easy to drop in and out of as a base. Pretty much all the Tokyo boroughs are a 15 minute subway away - so you can fan out from the Hotel and do the sights easily.
